The Sr. Information Security Program Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and managing the governance of the Information Security Program. The Sr. Information Security Program Management Engineer will come up with innovative ways to efficiently meet business objectives, helping to create and implement the IS Program vision. The role will participate as an effective member of a passionate, highly skilled, collaborative team that supports BECU’s information security policies and meets all relevant compliance requirements.
In this job, you will• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies and Information Protection requirements. • Research and evaluate new security frameworks for possible future implementation. • Benchmark the BECU Information Security program against frameworks and the industry. • Perform assessments of Tier 1 and Tier 1 Critical Vendors and file transfer requests. • Generate innovative ideas for the future of the security program and present them to the team. • Create implementation plans for the new visions and bring them to reality. • Guide Administrator and Technician positions for escalated support. • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advanced degree preferred. • Minimum 8 years of experience in developing and supporting information security programs required. • Strong negotiation and people skills required. • Ability to evaluate risk and communicate it in a fact-based manner. • Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills required. • High level of attention to detail and accuracy required. • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills) required. • Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response. • Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate in the English language. • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
