The Gist of It
Do you drive your friends and loved ones crazy by analyzing the effectiveness of the YouTube promotion you just watched? Does diving into data to optimize a creative campaign excite you as much as posting selfies of your recent lunch? Do you write creative briefs that make your art director weep tears of joy? Are you a geek that loves to speak in acronyms like SEO, SEM, PPC, CRM, CMS, CTR, CPC, CPA and of course ROI? If you said yes to all of these questions, we might be a match made in marketer heaven.
Deseret Digital Media is looking for an energetic, innovative, creative, and experienced Sr. Marketing Manager. Here's what we mean by that. Energetic: we want someone with a fire in the belly (yes, we just included "fire in the belly" in a job description) and a positive attitude to work within a performance culture. Innovative: we don't have Super Bowl budgets, so we need someone that has executed innovative marketing strategies in a super efficient way. Creative: we are looking for someone to blow our minds (not literally, but you get what we're laying down). Experienced: this means someone, somewhere has referred to you as the marketing guru (your mom doesn't count). We're not looking for a sales guy, we've plenty of those. We need a marketer. We need someone who has proven experience in developing and deploying omni-channel (lame marketing buzzword) and multi-device campaigns. Trust us...we're gonna make you prove it. Our favorite candidate will be a super good communicator, checks their ego at the door, plays well with others, tells good jokes, and is a dead eye from 10 yards with a Nerf N-Strike Elite Strongarm.
Things We're Gonna Have You Do

Grow audience and usage for said products and channels ' including web, mobile, social, direct mail and traditional print media
Develop customer life-cycle marketing strategies for both B2C and B2B audiences (it'd probably be good that you know what B2C and B2B mean just sayin')
Create and manage a promotion calendar that coincides with and helps achieve revenue expectations
Work with strategic partners to manage sponsorship opportunities
Build campaigns to promote our somewhat off kilter, amazingly creative events.
Strategize and deploy successful email communication programs for both B2B and B2C
Regularly analyze ROI and optimize marketing campaigns and programs don't be afraid of the data, embrace the data.
Provide research support such as survey data collection, focus group research, brand awareness studies, competitive analysis, etc. and put it into presentation form that will elicit a standing ovation.
Things We Expect You've Already Done
5-7 years of marketing experience with a strong emphasis on digital, mobile, email and social media marketing
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications or equivalent experience (whatever that means)
Experience in developing marketing messaging, segmentation, and channel strategies for both B2C and B2B audiences (again with the B2B and B2C)
Proven track record of creating and launching interruptive marketing campaigns that drive traffic, usage, and purchase (we'll put you to the test so no embellishing your experience here)
Spock-like analytic skills (sans the death grip) you should be no stranger to Google Analytics
Super detailed and even more super organized
Strong project management and multitasking skills are a must (we know, we've read all the articles about how multitaskers get less done; what we mean is that we've got lots to do and need someone who is good at doing lots. Capeesh?)
Experience with survey tools and utility knives
This will be the best place you've ever worked. Seriously. Bring your game face, 'cause you're gonna want this.
