IntePros is currently looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for one of our premier clients in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for preforming design and analysis to support product development and manufacturing of drug delivery systems. This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience in product design to lead product development, design phase, and related activities. Assignments are broad in nature, self-driven, requiring appreciable initiative, originality, ingenuity and excellent problem-solving skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, execute and document project assignments working to meet committed timelines and project goals, and per established governance policies and guidelines.
- Research design options and perform necessary experiments to determine potential design feasibility or application.
- Participate in design/development activities which may include, design planning, risk assessment, prototyping / testing, preparation of technical reports, and technical reviews.
- Applies engineering principles to guide and lead design and solution to achieve customer, project or operational objectives based on broad thinking and experience.
- Specify, design and evaluate mechanical systems and components by applying principles of mechanics, fluid dynamics, and materials engineering.
- Generate required Solid works CAD Models, 2-D dimensioned drawings, tolerance analysis, feature function maps, and mechanical dFMEA as required.
- Generate intellectual property
- Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards. Provide the team a source of knowledge and utilize experience to guide team members & drive decisions.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
- Promotes, leads, acts as a resource and supports an agile and lean development process.
- Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
Safety Equipment:
- Safety glasses, hairnet, face/beard cover, gloves, safety shoes and hearing protection as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education or Equivalent Experience: Mechanical Engineering Degree or Equivalent
- Experience in design and development of electro-mechanical devices
- Experience in Customer-centric product development of Consumer electro-mechanical devices
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: 6-10 years
- Proven ability to generate creative ideas and transform them to functional components and mechanisms
- This position requires a highly organized person who is articulate and personable, acts as a resource for other team members, has in-depth knowledge and experience in medical device development, and demonstrates initiative and commitment to quality in all tasks.
- Proficient with Solid works, FEA Software, Microsoft Office suite software, and project management software such as Microsoft Projects.
- Creative and innovative thinking.
- Proficient in Design of Experiments, Statistical Analysis Techniques and Minitab.
- Excellent communication skills
