Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Microwave Design Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Colorado Springs, Colorado location to meet challenging issues confronting national security.
Qualified individuals must be flexible, self-motivated, hardworking and capable of working on a program, as it moves through the system lifecycle phases of proposal, development, testing and deployment. The ideal candidates must be able to work through increasingly complex problems, utilizing ingenuity, innovation, thoroughness, and practicality; and perform their work with minimal direction and oversight.
This position deals with the design, development, and deployment of complicated RF systems that includes but not limited to:
- RF System Architecture
- Parabolic Antenna design
- Receiver Design
- Transmitter Design
- Timing Generation and Distribution.
In addition, the candidate must be a team player, able to work comfortably and effectively with company team members as well as program stakeholders and DoD contractor senior personnel. The candidate will be required to support technical interchange meetings, formal design reviews, and integration and test activities.
Basic Qualifications for a level 4:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM field (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) with 9 years of directly applicable experience in RF Microwave design and principles.
- Ability to obtain a security Clearance.
Travel Required: 25% Travel
- Parabolic Dish Analog Experience
- Field deployment of large aperture antenna systems
- Proficient in MATLAB
- Proficient with Antenna Modeling and simulation
- Experience with RF test equipment
