The Neurophotonics group at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks to hire a senior research associate with a degree in electrical engineering, physics, bioengineering, or related field with optics expertise. The associate will work on development of fiber coupled miniature microscopes using electrowetting lens technology funded under NSF and NIH BRAIN Initiative grants. The research associate will coordinate the incorporation of the technology for animal behavior studies of olfactory sensation and decision making. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own research interests, and will also assist in writing progress reports, manuscripts and grant proposals. The candidate must be highly motivated, and able to work independently and in a highly interdisciplinary team of neuroscientists and optical and mechanical engineers.
The CU Neurophotonics group is a vibrant group located on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, Colorado with state of the art research facilities in biophotonics and capabilities for advanced microscopy including three-photon, stimulated Raman scattering, structured illumination, and STED microscopy. - Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering, bioengineering, or a related field.
