Responsible for the design and implementation of FPGA code for a variety of space-borne applications, including both government and commercial programs. Recent projects have included satellite servicing missions and NASA missions destined for Jupiter’s moon Europa. Work alongside engineering staff both in NH and at the SwRI main campus in San Antonio. Occasional travel to San Antonio may be required.
Requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 7-10 years of FPGA design experience. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. MS or PhD is preferred. Familiarity with FPGA device families such as Microsemi RT/AX, ProASIC3, and RTG4 - Xilinx Virtex 5 is required. Knowledge in FPGA development tools such as Microsemi Libero and Xilinx Vivado/IDE.FPGA simulation tool, Modelsim PC board tools, and Altium is required. Knowledge of or experience in Microprocessors is preferred. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Work assignment is in Durham, New Hampshire. Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR work in section.
