We are currently hiring a Staff Accountant in Boston, MA or in the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton, DE .
Reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting, the Staff Accountant role will include various accounts receivable and revenue recognition responsibilities including, but not limited to, processing customer credits, posting customer payments, reconciling accounts receivable, resolving collection disputes, reviewing open sales orders, and assisting in other assignments as needed.
What You'll Do:
Reconcile and post customer credits for product returns and deposit redemptions
Cash application posting and reconciling customer payments
Support month end accounts receivable close process by completing all transactions, reconciling G/L accounts, and preparing DSO analysis
Resolve billing discrepancies and collection disputes
Review open sales orders for both inbound and outbound shipments
Assist tax team with monthly excise tax filings
Backup to treasury team as needed
Assist in providing audit support to both internal and external auditors
Play a key role in special projects and other assignments as needed
What We're Looking For:
B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or related area of study
1+ years in an accounting role
Understanding of GAAP
Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications
SAP ERP experience is a plus
Anaplan, Every Angle, Cognos experience is a plus
Sarbanes-Oxley experience is a plus
