Job Title: Staff Accountant Clerk - Part-time
Compile and maintain accounts payable records, general ledger information and purchases supplies for the organization and assists the Director of Finance by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
Audit and reconcile billing statements.
Answer all vendor inquires.
Prepare accounts payable checks.
Print all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
Assist in monthly closings.
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
Assist with installing, modifying, documenting and coordinating the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
Prepare deposits and take deposits to the bank at least weekly.
Audit contracts, orders and vouchers and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
Order supplies for all offices, implanting cost-effective methods and monitoring distribution of office supplies. Maintains an inventory of supplies at corporate facility.
Responsible for typing letters, memos and other written correspondence.
Assist with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree (A.A/A.S) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to type 30-35 words per minute and have proficient computer skills in (Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook).
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
