Microsoft Dynamics GP Fixed Assets Accounting: * Manage the Fixed Assets module in Microsoft Dynamics GP including, but not limited to, adding new assets, retiring disposed/abandoned assets and processing monthly asset depreciation and lease amortization. * Coordinate with departments to affix inventory tags to new assets; observe the disposal of retired or sold assets. * Perform cycle-count of capitalized assets in accordance with CBS Network Policy. * Reconcile Fixed Asset records to the General Ledger on a monthly basis. Microsoft Dynamics GP Project Accounting: * Maintain the Project Accounting module (PA) in Microsoft Dynamics GP for reporting on Capital Projects-in-Progress and Overhead Jobs-in-Process; interface with all project/job coordinators. * Input labor and materials charges into PA; process project and job closures in PA. * Update PA flash sheets and reconcile to the General Ledger on a weekly basis; distribute monthly progress reports to management. * Generate all related journal entries; prepare all related work papers and schedules. Perform Cashier functions for CBS Studio Center: * Act as custodian of Studio Center petty cash fund; staff the Cashier window for two hours a week. * Conduct monthly cash counts of the Supply Station operating fund, Mailroom petty cash fund and Executive Kitchen petty cash fund. * Process and payout employee expense reports. * Journalize cashier activity; reconcile cash count to Petty Cash GL accounts. Other: * Perform cycle-count of non-capital rental equipment in accordance with CBS Network Policy. * Maintain the filing system for employee-held assets. * Update weekly flash sheets for CBS-related events/projects and for non-CBS events held on the Studio Center premises. * In a backup role, release purchase orders in Microsoft Dynamics GP and review for required elements; interact with departments to ensure adherence to purchasing policies. * Support monthly closings and assist Senior Accountant as needed. * Other duties and special projects as assigned.
* Experience with ERP accounting systems preferred. * Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance. * Readily able to work with and communicate well with all levels of staffing. * Exposure to Studio Accounting desired, but not required. * 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university. * A fundamental working knowledge of GAAP, especially as it relates to the management of Fixed Assets. * Proficiency in Excel. * Familiarity with film/TV stage equipment (lighting, grip, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
