Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and support of gas turbine engines for commercial and military aircrafts. The Military Life-Cycle Cost (LCC) and Cost Effective Analysis (CEA) group within Engineering is responsible for engine fleet maintenance cost assessments, estimating the cost of designing, qualifying, acquiring, operating and retiring of an engine fleet over its entire lifespan as well as delta cost of configuration changes and maintenance. The Life Cycle Cost Specialist works with many disciplines to coordinate development of business models to support CIP (Component Improvement Program) program tasks, ECP (Engineering Change Proposal) tasks and component trade studies which show changes in LCC (Life Cycle Cost) when a hardware change is developed and incorporated into the engine fleet. This position requires excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with many levels of management, both internal and external, on military engine programs.
