Essential Job Function:

The Store Manager performs operations necessary for running an efficient and profitable convenience store/retail fuel site. Our managers work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The store manager must have the aptitude to make timely decisions and immediately solve problems. Our stores are open 24/7 and managers are expected to be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily tasks and performance of all store associates
• Maintain a sharp focus on delivering excellent customer service and addressing customer concerns
• Select and hire store personnel
• Create and submit daily store reports
• Reconcile and prepare bank deposits
• Plan and prepare employee work schedules
• Control cash handling
• Control merchandise and fuel inventories
• Order product to keep shelves fully stocked and well-merchandised
• Mediate employee grievances and disputes
• Evaluate, counsel and discipline employees as needed
• Set pay rates within established guidelines
• Maintain site appearance standards
• Implement and maintain health & safety protocols
• Communicate and track maintenance issues 
• Comply with all laws, rules, regulations and company policies

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or BS/BA preferred
• Previous retail management experience preferred
• 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• Verifiable work history
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to safely lift 40 lbs. to chest height
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 consecutive hours
• Ability to climb a stepstool, reach with arms, grasp with hands, bend, and crouch
• Accurately select options from a touch screen point-of-sale monitor
• Accurately count US currency and make change
• Aptitude for teamwork and customer service
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office programs
• Superior leadership skills
• Multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
• Pre-hire drug screen, background, and credit check
