Responsibilities for the Structural Engineer
•Specifications are prepared, and necessary subcontracts and requisitions are defined.
•With minimal supervision, the individual at this level is responsible for independently applying engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods.
•Will be generating calculations for structural steel and reinforced concrete, preferably for industrial projects.
•Will provide technical guidance to drafters/designers and engineers converting design to construction drawings.
Requirements for the Structural Engineer
•Registered Professional Engineer required. TWIC card required. RSO training required. BS Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis required.
•6+ years experience in structural analysis and design using STAAD.Pro software. Familiarity with SmartPlant is a plus.
•Understanding of structural design provisions in the codes is important.
