The Engineering Applications & Systems Development section of the Applied Physics Division at Southwest Research Institute conceives, develops, designs, and delivers specialized custom hardware and software solutions meeting our customers' needs. The student will provide assistance by being involved in developing and designing applicable solutions by way of software programming development and implementation. Interest in networking protocols and android applications development a plus. Interest in software design and programming desirable. This is a year-round or summer student position.
Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Coursework or project work with software programming and/or embedded microprocessor design a plus. Experience with software programming languages desired. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
