PeopleTec is currently seeking a Subject Matter Expert to support our Huntsville, AL location.
The communications element of C2BMC is a key enabler of the forward based mode radar mission and requires near-continuous monitoring, issue identification, and resolution. Additionally, the communications hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure on the forward based mode radar sites are about to enter a phase of standardization and modernization, to include the fielding of high altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) hardened equipment. Assist the TCM GBMD with issue resolution associated with fielded communications hardware and software associated with SATCOM terminals, terrestrial fiber, and supporting uninterrupted power supplies and environmental control units, both from operations and sustainment aspects. Assist the TCM with property accountability aspects of fielded equipment. With respect to modernization, assist the TCM through all aspects of the materiel fielding process for the sites receiving HEMP hardened terminals and support equipment, to include cyber compliance and property accountability. Conduct an assessment of depot and field level sustainment of fielded communications to determine standard levels of Army, program manager, NETCOM, Army Service Component Command, and theater-level signal support and recommend corrective action. Review existing orders and directives for the five radar sites to establish documented responsibilities in all theaters and to identify gaps.
- Experience in fielding communications equipment to include: High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) devices.
- Communications troubleshooting experience to include: terminals, terrestrial fiber, UPS's and ECU's.
- Travel: 25%
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
A completed Bachelor's Degree in a related field, OR at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of Global Ballistic Missile Defense systems is desired.
