Candidate will possess an accredited bachelors degree in education, special educations or related field of study.
The teacher should preferably have one year of experience teaching emotionally challenged/learning disabled adolescents and meet North Carolina certification requirements in the subject areas taught.
Modify the educational curriculum for students with special learning needs utilizing a variety of instructional methods, techniques and technologies
Ability to apply cultural sensitivity and age specific competencies
Effectively applies program approved policies and procedures
Maintain student records as required by law, policy guidelines and administrative procedures
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Completion of AHA CPR for healthcare professionals certification, annual professional skills verification and "Handle with Care" (psychiatric crisis management) certification within 30 days of employment.
Special Education Certification
