SUPERVISING TEACHER PRESCHOOL Location: Tucson/Phoenix Employee Status: Permanent Hours Per Week: 40 Work Calendar: 10-Month Pay Rate: $34,266-$65,597 (Additional Stipend $4967 per year) Other: ASL Required Positions Available: 1 Tucson 1 Phoenix Incentives: Signing Bonus: $1500 for New Certified Staff Members.
Moving Expenses: $1500 for Certified Staff Members from outside of Arizona.
Provide leadership for instructional and programmatic development
Assist teachers in evaluating the effectiveness of programs
Promote and maintain climate for effective working relationships among staff
Collaborate in the development of behavior plans
Supervise and evaluate staff
Provide quality instruction in assigned area
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Individual Education Plan (IEP) process
Effective hiring practices
Techniques for program, teacher, and student evaluation
Policies, procedures and programs of the immediate work unit
Principles and practices of administration and management
Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
Arizona academic standards
Current educational and diagnostic practices
Facilitating group decision making
Behavior management/student discipline techniques
Planning and organization
Communicate effectively with students and staff
Evaluate teacher performance
Develop lesson plans
Masters Degree in Education with coursework specific to sensory impairments
State of Arizona Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement
State of Arizona Supervisor Certificate within two years of hire or a current State of Arizona Principal
Must be able to pass FBI and State background check
