Oversees the Survey and Right of Way departments. The Supervisor of Survey and Right of Way is expected to take on a leadership role within these departments to provide support for the Company's construction and maintenance work.
1.Safety and Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and training to Right-of-Way and Survey teams to aid in development. Promote and lead safety for Right of Way and Survey work.
2.Survey: Review, prioritize and schedule requests for survey work to ensure timely response to work requests involving land surveys, line sag measurements, locating of lines and equipment, and other related work and utilizing outside resources as necessary and appropriate to meet the proposed schedule. Reviews and approves survey drawings prepared by union survey crew members.
3.Rights of Way: Review and prioritize requests for private or public real property rights, such as municipal, state, county, and railroad permits, easements, and leases to support Company initiatives, including providing support to Right-of-Way Agents in negotiations as needed and utilizing outside resources as necessary and appropriate to meet the proposed schedule.
4.Project Reporting and Communications: Facilitate effective and efficient communications with and reporting to the Company Construction and Project Management departments to ensure work is performed in timely manner.
5.Administration: Oversee the maintenance of real estate filing systems, leveraging new technology as appropriate; manage external contract resources to ensure completion of assigned work in accordance with Company requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education Required: Must have Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor’s License and five years of experience in land surveying field and office work; four-year college degree preferred, or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job.

Skills: Expert knowledge of land surveying. Knowledge of Electric Utility Substation and Transmission & Distribution (T&D) equipment. Knowledge of Infrared Technology. Knowledge of Autodesk Survey software, Trimble Survey Equipment, Microsoft Office and Geographic Information System (GIS) Applications.
Physical Requirements: Works in field and office environment. Makes regular trips to the field to review and coordinate the work of associated crews.
Primary focus is on day to day management of operational execution for areas managed. Trains and develops staff. Plans the work flow. Directs available resources to accomplish process improvement. Leads work flow changes and implementations for direct team.
Problems and issues are undefined require detailed info gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand/resolve. Makes decisions that address work flow issues considering immediate impact on own function or work unit.
