Lead multi-discplinary teams responsible for providing engineering, technical guidance, repair and logistic support to forces afloat in identification and correction of material condition discrepancies in Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E), Aviation equipment and systems, Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) combat support systems and other support equipment.
Surface Ship Program Manager shall have five years of experience on surface ship propulsion, auxiliary, electrical and damage control systems including at least 3 years of experience in gas turbine propulsion systems. Experience should include 2 years of actual ship auxiliary, electrical, propulsion, damage control, or distributed ship's system maintenance and operations including supervision of personnel.
Three (3) years of supervisor or managerial experience with one (1) year at the level equivalent to a Civil Service GS-12 rating or Navy Lieutenant (O-3), or Chief Warrant Officer Two (CWO2) involving direct supervision of subordinate groups working in an engineering discipline.
One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
