The surgical technologist is an allied health professional who functions as an integral part of the surgical team. The surgical technologist possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, equipment, tools, and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. This position is casual and will float between all the Surgery Center locations. Summit Orthopedics provides the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota with the full spectrum of orthopedic care including sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our OrthoQUICK clinics, imaging, bracing, therapy, surgery, and post-surgical stays at our Care Suites. Requirements | Qualified candidates must have graduated from a surgical technology program, degree or certification accredited through ARC/STSA. Certification is conferred by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). AST or professional affiliation / membership recommended. If not certified, must obtain certification within one year of hire. |
