The System Communications Specialist (SCS) coordinates and manages system-wide communication efforts including the intranet, research and development of additional internal and external (PR) communication platforms, newsletter creation, quarterly STAR summit content and support material, and video production for internal and other uses. Works with the Director of System Communications and Public Relations to create and execute education, training, outreach and internal communication strategies that are culturally sensitive and effective in utilizing various platforms to engage target audiences. The coordination includes but is not limited to intranet, mobile app, text messaging systems, system-wide communication expansion, adoption and tracking, printed material, media outreach, and public relations. Critical skills include research, writing, storytelling, creative visual presentations, professional engagement with staff and office/department management.
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
2. Licensure: None.
3. Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing or communications, project management and
software experience preferable in a healthcare setting required. Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred.
