The System Configuration Analyst position is responsible for the general build and maintenance of Javelina. This requires analyzing changes of system design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for creation and/or change. Coordinates with all business units and external vendors during client implementations and/or conversions to determine requirements.
Must have an advanced to expert level understanding of Javelina functionality across multiple modules. They also make sure that Javelina interfaces appropriately with client needs. The ability to quickly identify, triage, diagnose, and resolve reported issues with the intent of improving the performance of the system for business units. Tasks and decision-making are generally independent in nature but will require collaboration with internal and external partners frequently.
Serves as an escalation point for all issues pertaining to Javelina
Builds and configures system structure for operational use. This to include plan build, client design, enrollment and billing configurations, table and codes creation, CRM, and MESA
Assists in the coordination of testing and implementing new releases
Develops relationships with non-technical users across other business units that foster trust and collaboration
Quickly understands existing business issues and data challenges
Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes
Creates and updates accurate, detailed requirement specifications documents, user guides and functional specification documents
Identification and recommendations of change requests/enhancements to leadership
Takes lead role on special projects/tasks
Assist with gathering necessary documentation for external audits
Work directly with System Configuration Supervisor to identify business needs and resolve software configuration problems
Available during non-business hours to resolve system issues as needed
Responsible for other duties as assigned.
3-5 years of claim processing and/or Health Insurance experience, preferably in the TPA market
Proven record of independent decision-making and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities
Proficient working on multiple concurrent projects while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to establish effective working relationships
Knowledge of project planning and project management
Highly organized, and able to work well with departments across the company
