CTG is hiring! We are hiring a Systems Administrator (HPC) to join our client’s Solutions Test team in Morrisville, NC. Our client is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent technical skills. This person will be a member of the test team responsible for releasing new high performance solutions content to customers multiple times each year. This high impact role requires a combination of technical knowledge of the HPC and AI marketplace and technology along with strong business acumen in understanding client needs. The right candidate for this newly created role will be responsible for understanding client use-cases and requirements, helping execute customer PoCs (Proof-of-Concepts) and assist cross segment teams to support leadership products and solutions.
Provide proactive technical infrastructure support for customer Proof-of-Concepts, workshops, AI benchmarking & partner Proof-of-Concepts.
Manage all infrastructure including compute, storage networking and software to meet client demands while planning infrastructure requirements for future growth.
Manage all hardware requests, assist with equipment ordering, setup, installation, maintenance and configuration
Manage software provisioning including installing OS, updating firmware and device drivers on new and existing hardware.
Own the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center success in collaboration with the AI business unit and field sales teams driving the activity pipeline.
Work directly with customers & partners to drive successful AI Innovation Center activities.
Collaborate with other technical team members such as Architects and Data Scientists to deliver customer PoCs and Workshops
Support customer discussions in collaboration with Account Managers to understand needs and pain-points in developing and deploying AI solutions.
Work closely our benchmarking and innovation center teams to ensure coverage of AI and HPC activity across various geographies. This may include working with teams & customers from different regions.
Ability to effectively interact and communicate with IT managers, BU personnel to senior management.
Assist with technical product marketing activity including event demo support, technical resources to support customer briefings and partner Proof-of-Concept support.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable degree.
Minimum 5 years of industry experience in delivering IT solutions in a customer centric role.
Prior knowledge of HPC & AI data center infrastructure including computer, networking & storage.
Data center administration/engineering experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Ability to work on site in our Morrisville, NC headquarters
Prior experience in HPC and AI technologies, solutions, applications and open source software with a strong understand of compute, storage and interconnects.
Prior experience working with global customers and technology partners
Project management experience with the ability to manage competing priories.
Action-oriented and able to work independently with clear priorities in a matrix organization
Ability to grasp fast changing developments and how they can impact customers
Innovative and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
