Systems Software Engineer
Apply basic software engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques associated with VHDL, Verilog, C, and C++ computer languages for real-time embedded software development to verification and validation, testing, and qualification requirements. Specialize in complex embedded, application, trusted processing, and crypto algorithms to support an Air Force client across all nuclear sustainment and acquisition programs and systems. Assist with nuclear surety and certification processes and contribute to critical thinking processes. Engage with a wide range of audiences ranging from novice to expert. Represent and support future nuclear program certification efforts. Develop and build knowledge of emerging software technologies.
-6+ years of experience with systems or embedded software
-Experience with supporting DoD programs
-Experience in software development for embedded multi-processor systems using C, C++, or Ada programming languages
-Experience in reviewing software products for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy
-BA or BS degree
-Experience with nuclear weapon systems
-Experience with real time operating systems
-Experience with the Cybersecurity of physical systems and firmware
-Experience with using MATLAB
-Experience with scripting
-Experience with working in a DoD embedded software environment
-Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
-Knowledge of systems software design, operating systems, and architectures
-Ability to work independently or in a team environment
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
-MA or MS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, EE, Mathematics, or a related field
