To perform any support/process dutiesassociated with the manufacture of BI Animal Health vaccines, will perform andcoordinate with other groups and supervise the activities associated with thepreparation of vaccine components.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare daily schedule, batch documentation andallocate the appropriate resources to the production teams
Ensure production schedule and completeassociated documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
Ensure raw materials are available and inventoryaccuracy is maintained
Oversee training and qualification of team members
Ensure equipment and facilities are properlymaintained
Review in-process documentation for accuracyand compliance in a timely manner
Perform quarterly reviews and revisions to allprocess documentation
Conduct annual performance reviews and assignindividual goals/objectives
Monitor team performance through Key ProcessIndicators
Analyze key improvement opportunities andimplement selected new ideas
Manage departmental expenses to ensure budgetadherence
Escalate issues related to personnel, process andproducts to the appropriate leaders
Initiate/facilitate root cause analysis andimplement corrective and preventative actions to address problems
Become proficient in departmental processactivities
Demonstrate a visible & tangible commitmentto HSE, Lean Principles, and the BI Animal Health Values in all work relatedactivities
In addition to the above, other assigned duties& projects deemed appropriate within the position scope
Demonstrates a commitment to the HSE Program. Worksin a safe, responsible manner. Supports safety policies and procedures.Identifies & properly reports unsafe work habits, conditions, &/orpractices.
This position may require the handling,storing, and managing of hazardous waste and this employee shall comply withall applicable state and federal laws. This person must successfully completethe hazardous waste management-training program within six months of theiremployment or assignment should this be the case. Such an employee must notwork in unsupervised positions until they have successfully completed thehazardous waste management training requirements, and must take part in anannual review in addition to the initial training. This training programincludes classroom instruction and on-the-job training to ensure they performtheir duties in compliance with the requirements of the Resource Conservationand Recovery Act, (RCRA).
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:
High schoolDiploma or equivalent plus minimum 6 years’ experience in related field
Demonstratedleadership skills- Coaching/Training
Work effectivelyin a team environment
Results orientedand ability to meet firm deadlines while working in a complex and variableenvironment
Require knowledgeof the current GMPs and USDA requirements
Equipment/Automationtrouble shooting skills
Clean room andaseptic technique knowledge
Basicunderstanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
Proficient withMicrosoft Office software and other database software
Excellent oraland written communication skills
Strongorganizational, time management, and project management skills, withexceptional attention to detail
B.S. Biology orrelated field plus 3 years’ experience in related field
Must be legally authorized to workin the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug testand post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
