Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the mold workshop in order to provide the service to our customers, both internal and external, providing solutions to situations and problems related to the molds and equipment to support them. Develops and implements strategies that improve customer satisfaction while achieving the operational goals of the business and building organizational capacity.
Manage tasks and supervise the staff of the mold workshop.
Evaluate the tasks of the mold workshop and recommend changes in current operations to improve the performance of the work.
Provides service and direction to customers in molding matters.
Provides support to the molding processes through the use of engineering concepts.
Work Environment: Manufacturing environment
Qualifications: Bachelors degree, preferable in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience in the manufacturing industry, preferable in medical devices, injection molding and / or in mold workshop (die cutting)
Minimum of three (3) years of knowledge and experience in:
Supervision of personnel (2 Mold Cleaners and 4 Tool & Die Makers)
Equipment used in mold workshop, as well as the design of special die-cutting tools
Management of computer systems: MS Office; Auto-CAD and Solid Works.
Performance Expectations: Knowledge in concepts of ISO, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, among others
Excellent communication and supervision skills.
Highly proven skills in problem solving, root cause analysis and decision making.
Ability to be able to execute in an environment of high demand of priorities, changing priorities and multiple tasks.
Highly customer oriented
Ability to empower themselves, take responsibility for their own work (accountability), and work in teams.
