Technical Support Specialist
is to support and train PowerSecure Field Engineers, partners and customers on power generation products and equipment serviced across the company’s entire footprint. This includes training field engineers and outside customers on revenue creating power generation products and services. Support and training is delivered mainly by phone or email, and sometimes onsite to provide a safe, accurate diagnosis, repair, or preventative maintenance inspection.
+ Answer inbound support calls and email Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and participate in an on-call rotation to answer the 24/7 Technical Support Hotline. + Daily research to resolve problems encountered by our Field Engineers. + Research and develop Technical Bulletins, support and on-the-job training for Field Engineers. + May be required to assist with developing and delivering training material. Requirements + A minimum of 5 years of Power Generation field experience. + Achieve and maintain EGSA Journeyman Certification. + Participate in continuing education to maintain and improve your knowledge base on the ever-changing technology of our field. + Knowledgeable of our industry standard OEM Maintenance recommendations, NFPA requirements, Rice NESHAP requirements, and any other AHJ’s requirements that maintain jurisdiction over sites we service and/or repair. + Up to 50% overnight travel, including two consecutive weeks, and occasionally three weeks during emergency response situations. No more than 50% travel over the course of the year. + Proficient computer skills to include MS Outlook, MS Excel, and ability to learn and become proficient in company ERP System. + Excellent verbal and written English skills + High school diploma or equivalent required. AA or some trade school preferred.
