Microchip FTD located in Beverly, MA is considering candidates for a self-motivated, intensely customer focused maintenance technician to work with our team. This position will be primarily responsible for providing on-going technical and test maintenance support for the cesium, rubidium and CSAC product lines. The candidate will possess excellent hands-on, product level technical/engineering skills. Under the direction of the Product Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Technician will: • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic systems and equipment used in precision Cs gas cell atomic clock manufacturing • Troubleshoot and repair facility in production -related mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of defective components • Maintain and repair automated test equipment (ATE), vacuum pump stands, vacuum oven in temperature chambers • Perform preventative maintenance and electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning manufacturing equipment and manage the department’s preventative maintenance program • Develop and support production assembly and text fixturing • Coordinate with equipment vendors and outside service contractors to support facility infrastructure maintenance, including but not limited to; electronic test equipment, automatic placement systems, and thermal / vacuum systems • Maintain and support equipment calibration activities
