Overview of the role: Over the past several years, Hartford Funds technology has modernized its distribution, marketing, digital and data platforms. The individuals in these roles will partner with the business to identify and leverage technologies that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our firm and collaborate to implement and realize the benefits.
Responsibilities of the role:
o Partner with an assigned business unit(s) to provide technical leadership and expertise
o Become an expert on the function’s business processes
o Consult with business leaders to identify areas of inefficiency that can be improved by technology
o Build business cases for proposed initiatives
o Collaborate with application development team to scope and initiate projects
o Manage projects utilizing appropriate project management processes and controls
o Update stakeholders on progress, issues and risks
o Asset management industry experience required
o Demonstrated ability to manage complex technology projects with multiple stakeholders
o Demonstrated ability to perform business analysis to define as-is and to-be processes as well as develop high level technical requirements
o Functional knowledge of one or more business areas within the asset management industry and knowledge and experience with the technologies that support those functions (investment management, finance, operations)
o Ability to collaborate, consult and bring ideas to non-technical audiences
o Experience with building and leveraging large scale data warehouses in the asset management industry
o Experience with third party investment data services (FactSet, Morningstar, Lipper, etc.)
o Experience delivering technology products in a cloud-based environment (AWS preferred)
