The Telecommunication Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the telecommunication infrastructure, Telephone System, voice mail, network infrastructure, fiber optic cabling, and wiring. Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.Researching and recommending equipment solutions for stated needs. Identifying organization needs, setting goals and objectives, developing budget requests, and determining resource allocation requirements. Performs service calls for problems relating to the network wiring/cabling, telephone/voice mail.
Meet with customers to resolve mail and/or telecommunication service problems or implement new operations; develop and recommend plans and purchases for improving telecommunication services. Meet with vendors to obtain new services, correct problems, or learn new procedures and regulations.
Assist Switchboard with daily work assignments and assign priority to jobs. Assign and schedule work orders to staff; set work priorities for the department. Orders equipment needed, reviews & prepares check request for all telephone bills for RUMC & Bayley Seton.
5 years plus telephone communication and purchasing experience. Supervisory experience required.
A minimum five years experience/knowledge in maintenance, repair and installation of computer and network cabling/wiring.
