About the Job
Part-Time Reference Librarian. Raymond H. Fogler Library, University of Maine, seeks temporary 12 hour per week part-time reference librarian from mid-January to mid-May; duties include reference patron services and web guide development. This is a 4 month temporary, part-time position with a starting salary in the range of $3,970 to $4413.
The University of Maine is the land grant university and sea grant college for the State of Maine. It is the flagship institution of the University of Maine System, offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. The University of Maine has approximately 11,300 students and 728 faculty. The Raymond H. Fogler Library has a collection of 936,000 volumes and a staff of 24 professionals and 45 support staff. The library uses the INNOPAC integrated system and has developed Mariner, a digital library. It is a Tri-State Regional Depository and a full patent depository.
Required: ALA accredited MLS; working knowledge of traditional and electronic resources; evidence of working in teams; excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred: Work with e-reference tools; demonstrated experience with Web authorship.
