Test Engineer/Technician at DLS Conformity Assessment

Test Engineer/Technician:

The candidate must be able to perform a variety of environmental testing without direct supervision. Familiarity with MIL-STD & RTCA DO-160 testing. Familiar with RS232 devices & basic electrical theory.

Job Description:

Use of vibration/shock test equipment; Vibration Research or equivalent controllers.

Perform environmental tests such as temperature, humidity, salt fog, Altitude and similar.

Provide feedback and support for vibration fixture design and development of new fixtures.

Utilize Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9000, ISO 17025, etc.

Review, provide feedback to, and approve test plans.

Setup, execute, and teardown of tests in accordance with approved test plan.

Provide documentation of test conditions and Evidence of Test.

Must be able to work in unconventional environments (on vibration table or inside test chamber), and use various hand tools.

Troubleshoot & maintain lab equipment and repair if necessary.

Education:

Bachelor Degree preferred, but will consider other degrees with relevant experience.

Professional Experience:

3 years of experience with Vibration, Acceleration, Shock and Environmental testing such as Salt Fog, Icing, Temp/Humidity etc. Knowledge of MIL-STD & RTCA DO-160 test procedures.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.

Product Safety experience is a plus.
