Test Engineer - Telematics
Contract 12+ months
M-F 40 hours weekly

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
•Provide technical support to the Telematics Test House by supporting the weekly testing, verification, and validation of telematics components, more specifically related to On-Board Navigation, Bluetooth, Tuner, Media player, Connectivity, Application, and other engineering projects
•Assist with resolving technical problems, report errors, support documentation and traces, and promptly communicate technical and quality related issues obtained from the testing, validation and verification process to Client
•Participate in kick-off/wrap-up meetings and scheduled test drives (local).
•Responsible for the development of testing procedures, test cases, and ensure special tools are maintained and configured/revised accordingly with requirements from Client.
•Partner closely with internal Telematics Test House teams, suppliers, and business partners to ensure pertinent test results are provided in a timely manner and revisions to software and map content is documented and received before QA testing
•Provide general testing support to the Telematics Test House with technical and administrative tasks based on active projects (including test device updates, asset management, inventory control, etc.)
Skills & Attributes
• Experience in the development, testing, or validation of embedded electronic systems in the automotive or consumer electronics industries, or similar experience
•Ability to work in a team, as well as an individual
•Strong team player
•Experience in authoring defects/issues and working with defect owner(s) to track defects to closure
• Individual must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that individual displays excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study
Special Skills Required:
•Valid US Driver’s License, Client specific Driver Safety Training (to be acquired after start date) and completion of a certified first aid training course
•Previous Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier work experience
•Work experience with vendors, suppliers are a plus
•Experience with embedded software or automotive solutions.
•Ability to work on cross functional, international teams
•Experience with the testing, validation, or development of mobile applications, in-vehicle entertainment systems, media players, or consumer electronics
