The position is responsible to provide professional support and training on state of the art products from stand-alone machines to highly flexible automated systems. The position is for the bending equipment line.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports directly to the department manager, and includes the duties of commissioning the equipment, customer training on operation and maintenance of the equipment, and on-site modifications to equipment. The position will work closely with the Project Manager, installation team, and customers engineering team.
Extreme care and attention to details to assure delivering scope of supply upon project completion.
Submission of clear, and detailed, reports documenting the work performed, open points, and closed points in a timely manner.
Professional appearance and good customer feedback is critical. Adherence to SOP's and implementation of new procedures.
- Mechanical devices - such as conveyors, pulleys, gears, hydraulic or pneumatic valves and actuators,
- Electrical devices - such as Servo Motors and
- PC communications - serial and parallel communication, Ethernet, static/dynamic
An 2 year degree in mechanical or electrical technology field is preferred. However, military experience or practical work experience in a similar field will be considered.
Strong math skills, including Algebra and trigonometry, measurement calculations of fractions, metric units.
Fluent in PC use as a development and communications tool. Fluent in Windows, Excel, and Word.
The ability to recognize and evaluate technical issues and limitations is required. The ability to define and manage expectations is critical. The ability to make sound decisions and actions is required.
Competency with Digital Multi-meters. The ability to read and understand electrical schematics is required.
Sound mechanical aptitude is a must. The ability to use common hand tools and read mechanical drawings is required.
Candidate must have the ability to lift 75 lbs. without restrictions. Walking distances, transporting tools through the Customer's location is required. Climbing steps and ladders, working in areas offering tight access is frequently required.
TRAVEL - Frequent US and occasional international travel will be required, up to 100%, including weekends. You must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport. The individual must possess a valid driver's license, pass a motor vehicle record check and have the unrestricted ability to obtain rental vehicles.
