Days and hours of position: Scheduled hours are specific to the Event that student employees are working. Typically nights and weekends but some daytime hours may be available.
Specific Skills/Aptitudes: Looking for easy-going individuals to build, light, paint and make the magic of Oakton Performing Arts Center shows.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Essential Duties and Functions: Must be able to work on a team and be good with your hands. Experience in theater, art, film or photography is a plus, but not necessary. Student employees on the Tech Crewwill participate in woodwork, electrical, painting, and backstage efforts to run a state-of-the-art production house. The job is a lot of fun, and will offer lasting experiences and friendships.
Eligibility for Student Employment
A student is eligible to work as a student employee if:
- He or she meets the enrollment requirement.
- The student can show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- At time of hire the student has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or first semester enrolled at Oakton.
- He or she is making satisfactory progress toward achieving their educational goals. Satisfactory progress mirrors Oakton's SOAP policy.
