About the Job
The University of Southern California Counseling & Mental Health is pleased to announce a Postdoctoral/Postgraduate Fellowship for the 2021-2022 academic year. The position is a full-time 12-month appointment providing clinical mental health services to the university’s student population.
The duties include providing individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and psychotherapeutic support groups for USC students. Other responsibilities include clinical ADHD evaluations (no testing), outreach, assisting with programming, assisting with research, and supervised training. The postdoctoral/postgraduate fellow will work under the supervision of a California licensed psychologist, social worker (LCSW), or marriage & family therapist (LMFT).
Applicants with a Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship are strongly preferred. We also welcome applicants with a master’s degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, or counseling who are registered Associates with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Strong clinical skills and experience are required. Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds is essential. Organizational skills, follow through, excellent boundaries, openness to feedback, and ability to work independently in a responsible manner are all essential to this position.
