That’s how we develop outstanding leaders who team to deliver on our promises to all of our stakeholders, and in so doing, play a critical role in building a better working world for our people, for our clients and for our communities. **Your key responsibilities** As a Manager within Transaction Real Estate – Corporate Real Estate (CRE) you are likely to spend your day working on strategic advisory engagements involving portfolio analysis, including scenario development and financial modeling of companies and proposed projects; or projects to guide our clients in their needs surrounding the real estate organization or infrastructure that manages the portfolio. You may serve as the engagement manager for CRE analysis assignments during Mergers & Acquisitions. As a manager, you will also train EY staff on portfolio strategy practices, facilities management processes and general real estate technical skills, and will support new business development. **Skills and attributesfor success** + Experience in transforming orconsolidating facility management services and contracts for clientsduring Mergers & Acquisitions + Diagnose client’s facilitymanagement platforms for improvement including staffing levels, costs,service levels and use of technology + Establish options fortransforming client FM platforms including org design or outsourcing,utilizing a business case framework + Assess client facilities andteams for operational improvements + Design and lead outsourcing RFPexercises and support client selection and transition of new FM providers + Benchmark clients staffing levelsand costs + Lead process improvement and teambuilding techniques to improve client FM practices + Ability to articulate solutions(e.g. business case) in PPT format + Establish consulting solutions,work plans and lead teams for facility management engagements + Identify opportunities forportfolio optimization, cost savings and improved ROI + Support clients in determiningrequirements for real estate that align with business plans · Analyze and make recommendations with respect to strategic dispositions, investment and market opportunities, hold versus sell analysis, feasibility studies, asset review and market studies, highest and best use analysis, acquisition and advice analysis and valuations for sale/leaseback purposes + Analyze inputs from the client’sstrategic planning process business plans (business requirements, costs,facility information, cap-ex requirements, forecasts, occupancy data,lease and market data) + Provide oversight to the client regardingvarious functions involved in the occupancy planning and portfolioplanning processes to ensure decisions are made and progress is achieved + Integrate otheroverarching strategies related to workplace, sustainability, labor and financeto govern the portfolio and set a foundation for city master plans andindividual asset strategies + Optimize clients’internal and external real estate organizational structure with regards toinsourcing vs. outsourcing facilities management/transaction management/spaceand occupancy planning/lease administration support, contract terms analysesand vendor selection + Support thecreation of portfolio-related governance, processes and tools for our clientassignments. + Conductdemographic, business geography and site selection analysis, related to labor,network and customers (partner with another EY practice focused on incentivesnegotiation) + Create execution plans + Oversee execution of real estateportfolio plans (may include real estate broker oversight and coordination + Support clients’ needs surrounding thecorporate real estate operating model such as processes, controls, governanceand technology **To qualify for the role you must have** · A bachelor's degree inreal estate, accounting, finance or business and at least 5 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and at least 4 years of related work experience. + Previous experience with leadinga regionally distributed team. + Technology-savvy skills, withsome experience in portfolio modeling software. + Experience serving as a businessadvisor in a client service capacity and managing highly strategicprojects **Ideally, you’ll also have** + Technical and mechanical expertise through previous experienceworking as a facility manager or building engineer + Previous corporate real estate experience with a consulting companyor real estate brokerage firm + MBA **What we look for** We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, analytical, logical thinkers with a passion for real estate and have a very strong attention to detail.
