Titanium Metals Corporation, A PCC Company has 2 openings for Transactional Inside Sales Representatives. This is an inside sales position focusing on transactional, fast turn, small account, quick cycle time business to grow our service center position in the marketplace. Position requires a "hunter" mentality, cold calling skills, negotiating skills, strong interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, strong math skills and desire to strive to transition to outside sales.
Telemarketing and development of small transaction businesses
Acts as liaison between customers and company.
Emphasis on excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, formulas & data analysis.
Expand existing & develop new relationships with customers.
Receives and analyzes incoming correspondence and gathers necessary data to formulate replies.
Insures prompt and efficient processing of customer orders and requests for quotation.
Issue formal quotations and follows up with customer to gather market feedback.
Maintains contact with plant personnel to insure that customer requirements are met.
Supplies outside sales representatives with pertinent information concerning customer activity.
Acts as customer contact regarding pricing, order status, quality, scheduling & shipping.
Informs management of pricing levels, competition activities and market conditions.
Ability to travel to customer as needed or with technical sales rep
Desires to develop into Technical outside rep in future
Travel as required 20-30% in future
Prospecting, cold calling, canvassing/leveraging territory & network to gather leads
Identify leads through phone, email, online and in person
Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls
Make outbound follow up calls to existing clients via phone & email
Generating leads advancing sales process, obtaining new customers and assisting in hitting sales targets
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience within a manufacturing organization
Knowledge of the metals or aerospace industry is helpful
Self-Motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
Ability to work individually and part of a team
Ability to read, analyze and interpret purchase order terms & conditions, technical requirements, & governmental regulations. Ability to write reports & professional business correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate to managers, clients, and internal customers.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, fractions, percentages, area and volume. Knowledge of metric conversion is necessary. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
