Marcom Services, a shipyard contractor, is seeking 2 warehouse attendant/drivers.
Along with the following job description, any candidate must have a clean driving record and pass a background check in order to access all local shipyards and naval facilities.
This job requires the operation of material moving vehicles in compliance with all safety and hazardous material regulations.
The duties and responsibilities of a Transportation/Warehouse employee of Marcom Services LLC are listed as follows but not limited to:
Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and vehicles.
Examine mechanical equipment. Identify and report reason for malfunction.
Pull stock from inventory and stage orders.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, repeatedly throughout the work day without assistance.
Operate warehousing equipment such as forklifts to move and stage materials for storage or delivery.
Review material and equipment requests, load vehicles with correct items and quantities, securing load to ensure safe transport, and execute route delivery of project supplies.
Adhere to designated delivery schedules and maintain communication with supervisors and field personnel regarding delays or deviations from normal or expected routes.
Arrive at the designated work site at the assigned time and end the shift as directed by the schedule and your supervisor.
Personnel are accountable for completion of daily work assignments.
Keep your work area clean and safe at all times, especially at the end of the shift.
Understand relevant work processes, operation of equipment, and complete tasks proficiently.
Work shifts and overtime as assigned.
Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Deal with unexpected events related to your assigned task in a professional manner.
Comply with OSHA standards and best safety practices.
Must be physically and medically capable to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the job as prescribed under OSHA standards.
