Ultrasound Technologist acts as a postive interface with all customers while contributing to a high performance, high quality work environment. Responsible for the administration of high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical purposes. Performs medical ultrasound, ultrasound guidance for interventional and therapeutic procedures and related techniques producing high quality images for interpretation. Ensure efficient operations, workflow and patient safety through collaboration with the healthcare team.
Graduate of accredited Radiological Technology training program or Diagnostic Medical Sonography accredited by one of the following: Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs; Council for Higher Education Accreditation or US Department of Education. Current Registry and Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS). Also required are both; current Indiana State department of Health Operators License and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
