We are currently looking for a dependable, conscientious individual with a clean driving record and good communication skills in the Fall River, MA and surrounding areas. Applicants must have a proven record of vehicle safety and must provide safe and courteous transportation for our program participants utilizing the agency's fleet of vans. This position will require you to transport ambulatory and wheelchair participants to and from the Adult Day Health program according to a schedule approved by the Program Leader/Transportation Coordinator. Experience with either elders or the disabled population (ADH) or children(ASDC) preferred; experience driving commercial vehicles preferred. Must possess an ability to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively. This position will require a valid 7D license be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintain a valid MA Class D Operator's license with good driving record.
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. per diem hours available.
The applicant must also be able to successfully complete a MA State CORI/SORI/CPS/Fingerprinting check and company paid pre-employment physical and drug test in addition to being enrolled in a drug consortium for random testing. Must have a current physical. Applicant must obtain 7D license within 30 days of hire and maintain 7D license. Applicant must complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certification. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
