As a Technician or Veterinary Assistant, you will be responsible for providing our clients with a fantastic experience as well as responsible for providing emergency nursing care to patients through compliance with the attending doctor's orders. On a daily basis, you will triage patients, calculate medical dosages and administer medications, run in-house lab work, place catheters, monitor and ensure patients' comfort, update clients on their pet's progress, monitor patient's under anesthesia and perform a variety of other tasks. This requires solid technical and people skills.
PET Emergency Treatment is focused on service. This role requires your commitment to providing both patients and clients with the best care. Your ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility is key to success in this role.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Experience working in the veterinary field as a technician or assistant.
Preferred emergency or other specialty small animal care experience.
CVT or LVT preferred, but not essential.
Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute for the above.
