Overview
This position supports a global on-premises, video centric, white glove collaboration deployment in a secure, 24x7 shift work environment. In this role you will interface with customers, vendors and other IT Infrastructure teams to deliver a world class video experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Preferred Architecture for Cisco Collaboration On-Premises Deployments with a strong foundation in telecommunications fundamentals and modern enterprise IT essentials including CLI, REST APIs, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, NTP, ADFS/LDAP, SSH, SFTP, TLS, Firewall, F5/Load Balancing, QoS, Virtualization (VMWare) and ESXi, as well as network design and topology.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage day-to-day operations of a UC infrastructure in a global enterprise environment, supporting Cisco Telepresence Management System on Windows Server 2012, Cisco UCM, CUBE, Cisco Expressway C/E, Cisco Meeting Server and VQ Conference Manger.
- Provide customer assistance and high touch conference management and scheduling supporting Cisco Video Room and Desktop Codecs, browser-based WebRTC connections on enterprise devices and BYOD for remote workers, and assist with 3rd party external standard SIP/H.323 clients.
- Conduct testing and configuration of existing endpoint and server hardware and VMs, including application of security controls, generation and application of security certificates, and specialized configuration testing for individual platforms
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, registry settings, logging, and virtualization
- Perform patching and firmware upgrades on endpoints and infrastructure, provide break/fix support and daily operations and management support including metrics and reporting.
- Work closely with vendor support for hardware and/or software problem resolution, capture and provide logs and document resolutions for management.
- Adhere to the ITIL library in support of incident and change management and demonstrate the ability to thoroughly document implementation plans, work orders, incidents, and problems.

- Ability to communicate effectively in all business relationships and various levels of management in a clear and direct manner
- Be able to contact and work with vendor support for hardware and/or software problem resolution
- Serve as an escalation point for our Internal VOC staff
- Be available for rotating 24/7 on-call support
- Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer
- Preferred experience in Microsoft 365 Administration including user support, SharePoint, One Drive Office, OneNote, Planner, Stream etc.
- Strong knowledge in dial plan design and implementation including E-911 • UC client support including Teams, Skype for Business, Jabber, WebEx and Finesse
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
- Security +
- 3+ years working in the Unified Communications industry
- Excellent communications and documentation skills
- At least (1) of the following certifications:
- Cisco Video Network Specialist
- Cisco CCNA Collaboration
- Cisco Certified Specialist
- CUCM Certification
