Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator to join our team of professionals. We make a difference every day to patients and families coping with end of life illness in creating a center of excellence in hospice care.
The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising defined volunteer programs and activities in accordance with the Plan of Care. Performs other duties as assigned.
At least two years previous experience as professional or volunteer in a health care, human services or similar agency.
Skills and abilities normally associated with the attainment of a college degree, and/or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a health care setting, preferably in hospice.
Ability to supervise, coordinate and evaluate volunteer services.
Ability to organize educate and develop volunteer hospice personnel for both patient and organizational needs.
Experience in hospice, especially in bedside volunteering.
Experience in training and supporting adults.
Must have reliable automobile, valid driver's license and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Good computer skills and ability to learn.
Demonstrated commitment to the Seasons Hospice philosophy of care, values, mission statement and organizational culture.
Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
