Masters Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field

Experience in the field of geriatrics a plus.

Demonstrate ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and manage multiple priorities.

Must be results-oriented and able to negotiate complex systems in order to provide maximum support for seniors.

Deep commitment to working with the senior citizen population;

Strong interpersonal, verbal, analytical, creative, writing, communication, organizational skills and an ability to develop rapport with seniors;

Ability to work in a team oriented environment and handle multiple tasks;

Ability to maintain a patient, enthusiastic and flexible attitude

Specific Skills - Required

Be knowledgeable and familiar with senior service program grants and funding resources to assist in monitoring outcome indicators to be achieved as a condition of the grant(s).

Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with a wide range of individuals and organizations.

Good public speaking skills.

Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.

Awareness of the social, economic and cultural factors that affect seniors.

Ability to set appropriate boundaries with clients.

Strong clinical skills including crisis intervention assessment and individual/group counseling

Detail oriented, self motivated, and highly organized.
