The Warehouse Operator will coordinate the shipping and receiving of internaland external customers' cylinders, including tracking of private cylinders toassure the accuracy of fills and returns, and handling all cylinder needs in amanner that serves the best interest of both customer and company.Our ideal Warehouse Operator will thrive in a positive work environment that they not just enjoy, but contribute to; share in successes and overcome challenges together.
Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
Coordinate with plant manager in assigning production needs based on scheduled delivery needs as well as shipping schedules.
Work closely with distribution to anticipate customer needs both in new business and growth.
Works with management on identifying opportunities and improving productivity of routes.
Conducts visual safety inspection of cylinders and quarantines cylinders that fail inspection based on operating procedures.
Updates SAP system with order changes and updates. Maintains SAP system for cylinder inventory accuracy.
Produces reports from SAP system on a regular basis.
Follows Hazard shipping requirements.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic computer skills; SAP experience preferred
Must be able to operate a forklift and maintain appropriate forklift certifications.
Working knowledge of the industrial gas business, welding products, highly desirable.
Must be able to work in a drug free environment.
