Reporting directly to the facility manager, the warehouse manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the facility, equipment and operational staff. The manager will oversee the operational projects of the facility, prioritizing deliveries and logistics, including prioritizing projects, scheduling equipment service/repairs, fabrication projects, preventative maintenance and other duties as assigned.
What you will do:
- Manage, coach and develop direct reports; warehouse specialists and drivers.
- Maintain and ensure proper, correct and accurate warehouse inventory.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of product to customers.
- Order and manage inventory with coordination of branch manager
- Hire seasonal staff and ensure proper training is provided
- Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and repairs of facilities and equipment
- Ensure SH&E compliance at the location
- Handles and delivers bulk and packaged chemicals
- Maintain application maintenance records
- Operate small mobile equipment (forklift, frontend loader, etc.)
- Operates computers on equipment
- Dispatch of trucks in compliance with DOT regulations
- Report any safety concerns to the branch Manager as soon as they are identified
- Assembles customer orders
- Plans and develops policy, procedures, and ensures team adherence
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
What you will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in agriculture or a combination of education and work experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, math and organizational skills
- Strong time management
- Proficient use of computer programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook Email
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Able to work additional hours to meet seasonal business demands
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
