Position Overview: The Warehouse Manager, AWP, is the forefront leader of the North Bend (WA) Warehouse, managing all Warehouse activities to ensure Parts distribution in support of Sales actions. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Parts Warehouse Operations, the Warehouse Manager objective is to standardize operations, implement best practices, and improve overall operational performance and compliance with the objective of achieving the highest levels of efficiency while delivering an industry-leading customer experience. The Warehouse Manager is accountable for an excellent, seamless collaboration with the Materials, Fabrication and Customer Service teams and the other business functions (such as Sales, Information Technology, Procurement, Engineering etc.) as well as the Global network of Terex Warehouses. Responsibilities: P&L Responsibility/Cost + Establish, actively manage and deliver on the committed Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/Budget + Ensure processes are in place to optimize all Warehouse Operations; develop processes where gaps are in place + Establish and manage to key productivity measures (i.e. Productivity, Quality, On-Time Shipment, etc.) Warehouse + Manage the Warehouse to deliver superior, industry-leading Operations performance based on a comprehensive KPI system. This includes the warehouse in- & outbound performance to standard, warehouse quality in terms of bin denials and warehouse errors and transportation performance + Monitor transportation performance and services as well as offer appropriate corrective actions + Ensure that Terex health and safety policies and procedures are implemented and followed in line with the Terex programs and values + Ensure that all Terex HR, Ethics and compliance policies and procedures are known, applied and followed by site staff + Formulates Warehouse space requirements based on Inventory forecast + In cooperation with Customer Service and Materials, prioritizes activities to facilitate the resolution of Backorders and lift-out-of-service (LOS) shipments + Responsible for daily management and facilitation of daily activities in the assigned areas. This includes conducting performance appraisals, keeping work history files uploaded, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to supervised Team Members + Creates a strong team spirit in the department as well as awareness of the importance of safety, quality, cooperation and elimination of waste Strategic Thinking + Define and lead the strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement + Anticipate the advancement of business, market conditions, and technology solutions and strategize options for managing changes + Propose and implement procedures aimed at improving warehouse performance and costs + Understand what impacts the total cost to serve and drive initiatives aimed at improving efficiency Collaboration within Parts & Services Organization + Seamlessly collaborate with the other functional teams in Parts, specifically the Materials, Fabrication and Customer Service teams as well as the Sales teams, to maximize the overall Parts business results in terms of customer service and financial returns + Seamlessly collaborate with the AWP Parts & Service leads and their organizations + Seamlessly collaborate with the corporate support functions such as finance, HR, IT, etc + Support the Senior Director, Global Parts Warehouse Operations with requests from Senior Management related to the functional area and ad-hoc projects MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY: KEY MEASUREMENT: + Deliver a superior, industry-leading customer experience, meeting the expectation of the AWP segment regarding the Warehouse performance + Standardize and improve business practices and KPIs, implementing best practice processes, systems, tools + Agreed Parts KPIs & metrics measured + Actively lead and manage the different projects related to the development and consistent deployment of best practices (i.e. Oracle WMS enhancements, Warehouse expansions, Warehouse relocations etc) + Implementation projects delivered on time and on budget + Deliver on the committed Budget + Annual Budget/AOP targets + Define and implement a top line growth strategy for the Warehouse in support to Global business + Annual Year-Over-Year Growth + Seamlessly collaborate with the other functions in the AWP Parts & Services + Level and effectiveness of collaboration to achieve overall business results Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree + A minimum of 4 years of experience in managing large warehouse operations, preferably with an industry-leading organization and in a multi-cultural environment Preferred Qualifications: + Degree in Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain + Master's Degree in Business Administration + Experience in Warehouse & Transportation process enhancements and standardization + Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Oracle based + Knowledge in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word) + Strong leadership skills and proven ability to lead teams in problem solving activities and create change + Ability to pull teams together, develop people, and create a vision based on company goals + Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and flexible team environment + Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis and process improvements) + Good training skills and a strong belief in importance of training, with an orientation towards continuous improvement + Ability to interact successfully across different cultures & on different business maturity levels Travel: + Must be willing to limited travel (approximately 15%) Location: US-WA North Bend-B30 HR Department: Operations Job ID: 11502 Terex Overview: Terex Corporation is a $4.5 billion, publicly traded global manufacturer of lifting and material processing products and services.
